Glastonbury 2008

It’s the first time I’ve taken RM471 to the Glastonbury bus rally. To my astonishment, in addition to some wonderful vintage buses throughout the site there were various side shows including quite a lot of music, theatre, circus, an amazing children’s area, thousands of stalls and a brilliant friendly atmosphere. Despite previous muddy events it is mainly dry and sunny. RM471 felt most comfortable with the music from the 1960s and early 70s. Neil Diamond, Jimmy Cliff, The Worzels, Leonard Cohen, Gilbert O’Sullivan and Joan Baez - all brilliant.

Here are pictures of the RMs I found. I think there is another high on a hill in the camper van enclosure but I couldn’t get to it.

Ian Rushby is always at this event with RM1842.

I found RMA62 looking splendid in the Kidz zone.

RM471 is parked up in the theatre and circus area next the Sensation Seeker’s stage.

I think I’ll come the Glastonbury bus rally again next year!
